Donald E Bianchi Planetarium

Located on the campus of California State University, Northridge (CSUN), the Donald E. Bianchi Planetarium is a great place to explore the night sky. The facility provides star shows for visitors of all ages, as well as astronomy classes. It is open to the general public and offers programs that are specific to the San Fernando Valley.

This planetarium is operated by the CSUN Department of Physics and Astronomy. The shows are offered by astronomy professors and graduate students. Programs include information about the stars and constellations, as well as discussions about astronomical phenomena. Guests also have the chance to look at the night sky in a 100-seat star theater. Shows are free and run for about two hours. If you would like to see a show, tickets can be purchased ahead of time.

The Palomar College Planetarium is the second one that has been constructed at Palomar College. The first was destroyed by a fire in 2008. The new planetarium opened on April 20, 2012 and features a 50-foot Astrotec dome and 138 seats. A Konica Minolta Infinium S star projector is used to create a crisp star field and display 1,000 stellar images on the dome. There is a 15-degree forward tilt on the dome for added effect.

Visitors can choose between a number of programs, including the Starry Night show, the Sky at Night and the Astronomy Day Camp. These programs are offered twice a week and can be purchased in advance. Those who want to see a show should make sure to arrive early. You can also purchase a ticket at the door. When you purchase your ticket, you will also receive a souvenir photo of the night sky.

You can also visit the CSUN Botanic Garden, which is home to more than 1,200 plants and greenhouses. The CSUN Botanic Garden is a great place to relax and enjoy nature. Many activities are available at the garden, including horseshoe pits and picnic areas. The garden also features a nursery.

Another planetarium you can visit in the area is the SAGE Planetarium, which is located on Mount Hamilton in the Diablo Range east of San Jose. The SAGE Planetarium is open for free shows three times a month. During these shows, participants will be able to view the night sky through a large dome and enjoy free astronomy programs. Some programs include slide illustrations.

There are a number of other planetariums in the area, including the Roth Planetarium and the William K. Holt Planetarium. All of these facilities feature astronomical telescopes for guests to look through. Most of the planetariums are open to the general public and offer free events and shows. They are also known for their audience-participation programs.

Those who are looking for a unique experience can also visit the Enchanted Escape Room. The room features themed rooms that you can solve puzzles and escape. Alternatively, you can visit the Northridge Fashion Center, which is a shopping center that houses national retailers.
